In the first part, Juliette Binoche plays the role of Julie, a woman who loses her husband and daughter in a car crash. Traumatised, she decides to leave everything behind and start a new life. However, her husband was working on an important piece of music and Julie is the only person who can help complete it. Winner of the 1993 Golden Lion in Venice and in fifteenth position in IndieWire’s list of the best 100 films of the 1990s.
