The two must overcome their differences as they risk their careers – and their very freedom – to help expose a massive cover-up of government secrets that spanned three decades and four U.S. Presidents. The top secret files threatened to expose government lies that led the U.S. into the morass of the Vietnam War. The Pentagon Papers case is now regarded as a key moment for transparency, whistleblowing and holding government to account.

THE POST marks the first time Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg have collaborated on a project. The film has been nominated for six Golden Globes and has been described as a Hollywood all-star team’s riposte to Donald Trump, provoking debate about the U.S. president’s attempts to delegitimise the mainstream media.
