Spring Breakers – Open air screening
Outrageous, sleazy and wild cult hit from Harmony Korine (Gummo) about four sexy college girls who plan to fund their spring break getaway by burglarizing a fast food shack.
But that’s only the beginning of this booze, drug and violence-fuelled bacchanal, shot in a hypnotic visual style and with an adrenaline pumping, riotous dubstep soundtrack. During a night of partying, the girls hit a roadblock and get arrested on drug charges. Hungover and clad only in bikinis, the girls appear before a judge but are bailed out unexpectedly by Alien, an infamous local drug dealer (a hilarious over-the-top performance by James Franco), who take the naive bikine girls under his wing and leads them on a wild spring break trip.
