Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
Miles Morales, a teenager from Brooklyn, discovers the endless possibilities of the breathtakingly mind-expanding Spider-Versum. Winner of the Oscar for Best Animated Feature!
After a bite by a radioactive spider, Miles Morales discovers that he can stick to walls and shoot webs; suddenly he has the powers of a spider. Moreover, he lives in a world where superhero Spider-Man is already extremely popular. If the famous Spider-Man dies in a fight, it is up to Miles to take his place. He has to get started immediately, but gets help from different Spider-beings from parallel worlds: Peter B. Parker, for example, a Spider-Man with a burn-out.
SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE has been received with great applause worldwide. VPRO Cinema wrote: 'the most radical, intelligent, artistic and revolutionary superhero film ever made'. In addition, SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE won the Oscar for best animated film this year. Even more important, however, is the fact that Miles Morales is the child of an African-American man and a Puerto Rican woman. That's exactly the teenage hero this world needs. (wg)
