STRIKE tells the story of Muslim and non-Muslim women joining forces in the battle against their working conditions. English Sarah has ended up in Bursa with her gay husband John. Fatma, a beautiful Muslim woman, has recently joined the workforce. Sofia and Zabel, one Greek and the other Armenian, are the spokespersons for the workers. Together they initiate a strike.


Prior to the film, there will be a mini-concert by saz player Murat Bulgan. Murat Bulgan was born and raised in Germany. After attending school in Germany, he went to Turkey, where he studied traditional Turkish music at the Istanbul Conservatory of Music. He later earned a doctorate in ethnomusicology from the University of Cologne. Murat Bulgan also became a lecturer at the University of Cologne at the age of 25. After his doctorate, he returned to Turkey, where he continued to work in teaching and research. Since 2022, he has been back in Germany. Bulgan is a master on the string instrument Saz/Baglama.
