In 1979, life is good to the twenty-five-year-old Pierre. After an adventure as a cowboy in Wyoming, he returns to France, ready to take over his parents’ farm. Twenty years later, not only the farm and his family have expanded, but also the debts.
The concern in the eyes of Pierre’s son hits even harder when you realize that he represents the point of view of director Edouard Bergeon himself. AU NOM DE LA TERRE is a personal story of the debuting director, who made the film for his father; an enthusiastic farmer who fought for decades for his existence and paid a high price for it.
