In this sequel, Al Gore oversees the current state of affairs. He travels the world trying to influence international climate policy. Cameras follow him throughout, during funny and moving moments, as he tries to make clear that the dangers of climate change can be overcome with human ingenuity and passion. At the same time, the hopeful yet increasingly impatient Gore looks back on his earlier predictions: which have come true, which have not?

When former vice president Al Gore narrowly lost the race for presidency to George W. Bush in 2000, he turned his attention to lectures and workshops on the potentially disastrous effects of global warming. The aforementioned 2006 documentary that followed turned out to be revolutionary – and incredibly successful – and ensured that the general public also began to take the danger seriously. This second documentary is a most valuable addition to Gore's ideology.

Bonni Cohen & Jon Shenk, USA, 2017, 98 min. English spoken, Dutch subtitles. With Al Gore, Cory Booker, George W. Bush.
