Classic and newly restored film that follows ABBA on a tour of Australia. Including fun extras such as lyric videos of ABBA’s greatest hits for an ultimate singalong.

Time & Tickets

During the heyday of Swedish pop sensation ABBA, director Lasse Hallström (CHOCOLAT) followed the foursome on a 1977 hysterical week-long tour of Australia. Featured are backstage footage and full performances of ABBA's biggest hits like DANCING QUEEN, SOS, NAME OF THE GAME and WATERLOO. But there’s more to this cult classic. The subplot of ABBA: THE MOVIE tells the story of a radio DJ who tries to arrange an interview with the larger-than-life Swedes, but is constantly thwarted by a dedicated bodyguard of the band. As the deadline approaches, his quest increasingly becomes a slapstick-like mix of blunders and coincidences. Fun fact: the members of ABBA were unaware of this fiction element.

And there’s even more. This remastered release of ABBA: THE MOVIE is a fan event and contains many exclusive extras, including a behind-the-scenes look at the well-attended ABBA: Voyage concert in London, footage from the ABBA Museum in Stockholm and lyric videos of some of the band’s hits. It’s the ultimate ABBA party so dress up and sing along. Be warned though after watching this ABBA classics will be stuck in your head for several days.
