The Disciples - Een Straatopera
In this documentary, members of De Straatklinkers – the Amsterdam choir for homeless people – practise the opera The Disciples, which was especially composed for them.

Dealing with the worst that man is capable of, the opera does not represent homeless people as victims, but as culprits. During the rehearsals, the daily existence of these social castaways and their cruel opera characters gradually merge. Who sets the rules, really? The director and the composer? Or is it the outcasts who want to get their point across?
