Garrone creates a rich fantasy world of mystery and wonder with this live action adaptation of the famous story of the wooden puppet that is brought to life at the behest of a poor, lonely woodcarver. Like any child, Pinocchio is curious about the world and learns by trial and error. Easily led astray, he tumbles from one misadventure to another as he is tricked, kidnapped and chased by bandits through a fantastical world full of imaginative creatures – from the belly of a giant fish, to the land of toys and the field of miracles.
