No Date, No Signature
A young boy’s death leads a forensic pathologist to investigate himself in this compelling Iranian drama, awarded with prizes for Best Director and Best Actor in Venice’s Horizons program.
NO DATA, NO SIGNATURE centres on Dr. Kaveh Nariman, a principled and virtuous forensic doctor. While driving home at night, Nariman hits a motorcycle carrying a family of four. Eight year-old Amir Ali seems to only be suffering a mild concussion, and no report is made. Two days later, he finds out that the same little boy has been brought in for an autopsy. Dr Nariman faces a dilemma now: is he responsible for the child’s death due to the accident or did he die of food poisoning, as stated by his colleague?
