Emotional Italian drama about two men who are about to end their relationship when suddenly a friend asks them to look after her children for a few days.
Alessandro and Arturo have been together for over fifteen years and, despite the feeling they still have for each other, their relationship is now at crisis. When Alessandro’s best friend, out of the blue, asks them to take care of her two kids for a few days, something changes in their daily routine and love will drive them to a crazy and unexpected turn in their life.
Director Ferzan Özpetek was born in Istanbul, but moved to Italy in the 1970s, where he made films such as HAMAM, IL BAGNO TURCO (1997), LA FINESTRA DI FRONTE (2003) and MINE VAGANTI (2010). LA DEA FORTUNA was a commercial success in Italy and was awarded two David di Donatello Awards (the most important national film prize in Italy), in the categories of best actress (Jasmine Trinca) and best original song (CHE VITA MERAVIGLIOSA of the intended Eurovision Song Contest participant Diodato).
