Sequel to the British success film about a Cornish choir that unexpectedly storms the charts with traditional sea shanties.

Time & Tickets

Following the unexpected success of the band’s debut album we join the traditional shanty singers a year later struggling with the pressures, pitfalls and temptations of their newfound fame and battling the dreaded curse of the second album. The attention has also transformed the sleepy Cornish fishing village of Port Isaac into a major tourist destination creating opportunities as well as irritations for all its residents. Within the choir, fame is taking its toll and cracks are beginning to appear in the lifelong friendship between the choir members. Meanwhile, the record company wonders whether the traditional ideas and bawdy behaviour of the shanty singers are still appropriate in today’s era. However, the choir has no intention of being dismissed as a one-hit wonder and is therefore hatching a plan to secure a spot on the legendary Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, where Beyoncé will be headlining.
