The rich history of the province of Limburg provides the backdrop for the story of Jos, a strung-out criminal from a family that has been haunted by disaster for generations. Jos is rarely taken seriously by his wife, daughter and friends. When a big drug deal goes wrong, he has a lot to put right and a personal journey begins: why is the world always against him? Especially now, when he is about to become a grandfather, the question seems more important than ever.
Fedja van Huêt shines in the role of the unhappy Jos, as he meets a series of colourful characters who may or may not help him on his quest.
