El Castigo - English subtitled
Argentine-Chilean thriller, filmed in one long continuous take of an hour and a half, about a young couple who find themselves in crisis when their infant son goes missing in the woods.
Ana is at the wheel. Next to her is Mateo, her husband. Together they drive through the forest. The tension in the car is palpable. Mateo begs her to turn back, but Ana drives on. After two long minutes, she finally turns around. At the place where they left their son Lucas, they find only his cap. What was meant to be a punishment soon turns into a nightmare for the parents. Pent-up accusations and uncomfortable truths emerge. In one continuous scene, we follow Ana and Mateo as their marriage slowly falls apart.
