Coco has no idea what to do with her life until she discovers her mother is terminally ill. Ignoring their distant relationship, she wholeheartedly embraces this new purpose in life and moves in with her mother to take care of her.
Her mother Elisabeth is in her mid-fifties. Before she became ill, she worked as a picture framer. She separated from Coco’s father twenty years ago. Certainly since her divorce, when both her husband and her child moved away, her life has been a very orderly, calm and quiet affair. And quietly is how she would prefer to die, until Coco noisily barges back into her life. That leads to painful revelations and tragicomic situations.
