C'est la Vie!
Directing duo Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano (INTOUCHABLES, SAMBA) serve up a delightful comedy about a long-suffering caterer hoping to get through one last, mishap-heavy dinner party.
For the bride and groom, it’s the most important night of their lives. But it’s a night like any other for Max the caterer, Guy the photographer and his high-school intern, James the singer/entertainer/DJ – and every one else working behind the scenes of the wedding. Pierre and Helena have decided to celebrate their union in a gorgeous 18th century chateau outside of Paris. We follow the party from setup to sunrise, almost in real time, but only through the eyes of those who work to make the night as magical as possible. Needless to say, it will be an evening full of surprises.
An Altmanesque ensemble work brimming with offbeat, lovable characters, and hilarious set pieces, C’EST LA VIE! is a fiendishly smart, sprawling comedy as only the French do it.
