In 2023, a national reckoning was already under way in France around child sexual abuse when film star Emmanuelle Béart revealed that she is an incest survivor. Along with co-director Anastasia Mikova, two other women and a man, Béart points an accusing finger at the laws and social taboos of a country - France - where a child is sexually abused every three minutes in this documentary.
The documentary is carefully and respectfully put together: everyone is given space, not only to talk about what happened to them, but also to reflect on the impact of both the trauma and of finally being able to talk about it.
