Visionary director and animator Satoshi Kon’s masterpiece Paprika is a twistingly vibrant, thought-provoking thriller that explores the mysterious place between dreams and reality. The film follows a team of psychiatrists who use a machine called the DC Mini that allows them to enter patients’ dreams. When the device is stolen and dreams and reality begin to collide, young therapist Dr. Atsuko Chiba (a.k.a. Paprika) is the only one capable of averting catastrophe.

A mind-bending example of the bold and haunting anime films of Satoshi Kon (whose work influenced directors like Darren Aronofsky and Guillermo del Toro), Paprika is rooted in the deepest, darkest corners of the human psyche. (source: www.tiff.net)
