Wisdom of Happiness
An intimate documentary in which the 90-year-old Dalai Lama shares his vision on the major challenges of the twenty-first century and how we can deal with them.
In Wisdom Of Happiness, the Dalai Lama addresses the viewer directly – creating the feeling of a private audience – and shares his timeless wisdom about finding inner peace and happiness. Using archive footage, he looks back on his childhood and upbringing. The documentary also shows rare footage of the brutal invasion of Tibet by the Chinese army. This event prompted the Dalai Lama to flee the Tibetan capital Lhasa and choose a life in exile in the Indian mountain town of Dharamsala, together with more than 150,000 other refugees from Tibet. In 1989, he received the Nobel Peace Prize for his struggle for the liberation of Tibet.
In Wisdom Of Happiness, the religious leader shows us that it is possible to build a healthier and happier world for all living beings and that the means to do so are, in fact, already in our hands.
