Meissy is overjoyed when her father, Tom, returns home after years of travelling. Against her mother’s wishes, she seeks him out in secret and is drawn into his vibrant world on the streets, full of imagination, origami cranes and extraordinary encounters. But she soon learns why her mother warned her: her father sees things that aren’t real and believes he is a king.
Koning Van De Zwervers is a magical coming-of-age film that makes complex themes accessible, without losing a raw edge.
