Nola
Short documentary about 24-year-old Daniëlle and her psychosocial assistance dog in training. The dog has to sense exactly how Daniëlle, plagued by mental health problems, is feeling.
Daniëlle has been struggling with mental health problems for years, including an anxiety disorder. She has tried multiple forms of therapy, but nothing has really helped. She therefore sees a psychosocial assistance dog, called Nola, as a last resort. Nola should become her therapist and buddy who will never leave her alone.
This insightful and moving short documentary will be screened on World Animal Day and followed by a discussion.
