The enchanting story of a seemingly ordinary British housekeeper whose dream of owning a Christian Dior couture dress takes her to Paris.
London, the 1950s. The hardworking housekeeper Mrs. Harris catches a glimpse of her employer’s beautiful dress by Christian Dior. She falls head over heels in love and sets out to buy one herself. She travels to Paris, the capital of fashion, changing not only her own life but also the lives of the people she meets along the way.
It is thanks to lead actress Lesley Manville that MRS. HARRIS GOES TO PARIS doesn’t get too sweet. She brings authenticity and likeability to her character, which makes you root for the good-humoured Mrs. Harris from the very start.
