Days after her baby is stillborn, Robin’s breasts begin to produce milk. Grappling with a bottomless sorrow, she continues to pump. As the days turn into weeks and their fridge begins to crowd with dozens of bottles, Robin’s determination to donate her milk grows to a near-obsessive commitment.
In her debut feature, Stefanie Kolk explores grief at its most bare and natural. Inspired by her own breastfeeding period, Kolk’s sensitive and quiet drama tells of rocky paths that open up for some parents in the postpartum period.
