Feature film about the love affair between Lithuanian composer/painter Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis (1875-1911) and his wife, political activist Sofija Kymantaitė.

The first weekend of the Vocallis Festival will be dedicated to Čiurlionis. He was born in 1875 into a Lithuanian peasant family. Despite his humble origins, he quickly developed into an artistic prodigy who could both paint and compose music. At a young age, he was struck by a mysterious mental illness that would torment him for the rest of his life. During his short life, Čiurlionis produced over three hundred paintings and musical compositions. His wife, the journalist and political activist Sofija Kymantaitė, supported him during his short and tragic life.

Please note: The film will be introduced by lead actor Rokas Zubovas, Čiurlionis' great-grandson, and himself a famous Lithuanian pianist.
