Becoming Led Zeppelin
Documentary about the early years of the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin, made with the cooperation of the still living band members. A story about four men and their love of music.
For the first time, a filmmaker received permission from the members of Led Zeppelin to make a documentary about the group. This also gave director Bernard MacMahon access to the group members’ personal archives. Becoming Led Zeppelin highlights the band’s early years. In the 1960s, the band members played in small clubs in Britain. It is an encounter in 1968 that would eventually change their lives, and in that year the band that would later make pop history was formed, featuring Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham.
In Becoming Led Zeppelin, the story of the early years is interspersed with numerous live recordings, including much rare and never-before-seen material.
