After Yang
Science fiction drama by filmmaker and video essayist Kogonada about an American family's attempts to fix their unresponsive robot child.
In the near future, everyone owns a robot at home, including Jack (Colin Farrell) and his wife Kyra (Jodie Turner-Smith): their android Yang acts as an older brother to their adopted daughter Mika. When Yang breaks down, Jack wants to do everything in his power to restore their beloved robot. During this quest, Jack learns to rethink the world and reconnect with his wife and infant daughter. After Yang is the second film by filmmaker and video essayist Kogonada ("Columbus") and premiered in the "Un Certain Regard" selection at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival.
