Twenty-year-old Dutch-Indonesian Melati Wijsen has been successfully campaigning against plastic pollution: already at a young age she succeeded in making the island of Bali free of plastic bags. Together with Melati, a powerful generation is rising all over the world, dedicating their lives to a better future. Melati and her generation are committed to human rights, the climate, freedom of expression and access to education and food. In a time when crises are mounting, these young people are showing us that we as individuals can make a difference.
