Danish thriller about an artist couple who trade urban life in Copenhagen for a quiet existence in an isolated Swedish forest. But something strange appears to be going on there.
In Sweden, Stine and Teit hope to reignite the spark in their relationship and find themselves as individuals, while they document their new lifestyle in an ongoing podcast series. One day, their young son Nemo disappears in the woods, and when Stine finds him again, he is frightened of her, insisting that she is not his mother. When Stine and Teit meet their new neighbours, they understand why: because they look exactly like them. Together with their mirror images, Stine and Teit go in search of themselves. Their new surroundings begin to become increasingly hostile, and soon old grudges and selfish desires begin to take over, forcing them to confront their own egos.
This makes SUPERPOSITION – Karoline Lyngbye’s feature debut – not just a traditional metaphysical thriller, but a suspenseful, layered relationship drama.
