Une Année difficile
French comedy from the directors of Intouchables, telling the story of two compulsive spenders whose lives take an unexpected turn when they attempt to solve their financial problems.
Albert and Bruno find themselves in deep financial trouble, resorting to deceit to survive. By chance, they cross paths at an environmental activist gathering, initially attending for the free beer. Under the leadership of Valentine, they quickly get involved in various comical actions meant to hold a mirror to the world. And, although Valentine typically remains indifferent to romance and has no room in her life for love, Albert stirs something in her.
With UNE ANNÉE DIFFICILE, Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano add another gem to their impressive filmography, where humour, hope, and an inspiring narrative take centre stage, in line with their prior successes like INTOUCHABLES and HORS NORMES.
