In this film classic, Thomas Hutter is sent to the Carpathians to arrange a real estate deal with the eccentric Count Orlok. Locals tell him something is not right with the illustrious nobleman. Upon arrival, he is welcomed by Orlok, who wears a large hat to hide his hideous appearance. When Hutter shows him a picture of his wife, an outright nightmare ensues.

Nosferatu, Eine Symphonie Des Grauens is not only one of the first vampire films, but also one of the first films about a pandemic, as it features a black plague outbreak. Moreover, it is one of the most influential films in film history. In 1979, Werner Herzog remade the film with Klaus Kinski as the iconic vampire and in 2025, director Robert Eggers – known for The Lighthouse and The Northman – is releasing his own version of Nosferatu.
