Gli anni più belli - or 'the most beautiful years' - is a summery Italian film about friendship, family, love and live, in which we follow four friends for forty years.
Giulio, Gemma, Paolo, and Riccardo have been friends ever since childhood in the 1980s. Togethery they grew up, went through puberty, and became adults. They shared moments of love and success, but also have been confronted with huge dissappointments. As the years go by, the four friends regularly lose sight of each other, but they always fins each other again. Their friendship unfolds in the shadow of the Italian history of the last four decades.
After the success of A CASA TUTTI BENE (2018), director Gabriele Muccino returns to the cinema with GLI ANNI PIÙ BELLI. After its premiere in Italy, the film went on to become a major cinema hit.
