Lumière Jazz Nights: Lindy Hop Night
We’re ending the Lumière Jazz Nights season on a swinging note: dance school Swing Out invites you to a Lindy Hop social — a vibrant celebration featuring live music from the Shaky Legs Orchestra, performances, dance workshops by special guests Katie Cobalt & Mike Sonder, and an evening full of joy, music, and movement.
As one of the founders, Frankie Manning, once said: “I’ve never seen a Lindy Hopper who wasn’t smiling. It’s a happy dance. You feel good doing it.”
New to Lindy Hop? No problem! The evening kicks off with a short beginners’ workshop taught by guest instructors. For those with dance experience, there’s an advanced workshop to help you deepen your skills, led by special guests Katie Cobalt and Mike Sonder.
There are no rules: everyone dances with everyone — solo or together. Roles aren’t defined by gender. Need a partner? Not at all. Everyone leads, everyone follows — and above all: everyone has fun.
