Subdued character study with a brilliant Nicolas Cage in the role of a hermit in the woods of Oregon, who goes in search of his beloved pig, and of himself.

Time & Tickets

Oscar winner, cult hero and meme king Nicolas Cage returns to his dramatic roots in the acclaimed drama PIG. Cage plays Rob Feld, a former celebrity chef who has retreated to the woods of Oregon after the death of his wife. His only companion is the pig that helps him hunt truffles. His contact with the outside world is limited to Amir, who sells Rob’s truffles to expensive restaurants. Rob’s isolated existence comes to an end when he is attacked at night and his pig kidnapped. With Amir’s help, he goes in search of the 'pignappers'. However, do not expect a manic revenge thriller in which Nicolas Cage goes berserk, but a subdued, surprisingly intimate drama.

Michael Sarnoski, UK, 2021, 92 min. English spoken, Dutch subtitles. With Nicolas Cage, Alex Wolff, Adam Arkin, Cassandra Violet, Julia Bray.
