Home health nurse Meral Öztürk becomes desperate when the Tax Administration wrongfully reclaims a €34,000 childcare allowance. Despite her protests, her entire salary is seized overnight. As her life falls apart, she discovers that a social investigator is interfering more and more intrusively in her private life – ranging from a GPS tracker on her car to a search for ‘unregistered relationships’. While she tries to keep the daily lives of her daughters Pinar and Ayse as normal as possible, the pressure on Meral becomes increasingly intense when the authorities even threaten to place her children out-of-home. The emotional pressure on the family piles up, forcing Meral to make radical choices to protect her family.
