Mexico 86 + Q&A with the director
Activist or mother? Director César Díaz joins us via Zoom after the screening to discuss his film about a Guatemalan revolutionary activist faced with an impossible choice.
On 12 November we’ll be screening Mexico 86, a film about Guatemalan revolutionary activist Maria. When her 10-year-old son comes to live with her, she is forced to choose between her role as a mother and that of an activist. After the screening, we’ll invite the director to join us via Zoom for a Q&A (language: English), in which he’ll delve deeper into the personal and political story behind the film.
