Halloween Singalong: Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street
Celebrate Halloween at Lumière! Put on your spookiest costume and sing along with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter.
Halloween: the night when the line between life and death is at its thinnest. At Lumière, of course, we celebrate it with an exciting film screening, followed by a spectacular party in the Bar. This year, we’ll live (and sing!) through the tragic tale of Benjamin Barker—the Demon Barber of Fleet Street himself.
Halloween Singalong
Since it’s Halloween, this isn’t just any screening: come in costume, unleash your inner Sweeney Todd, and sing along to the musical numbers. Don’t know all the songs by heart yet? No worries! We’ll provide the lyrics, so everyone can join in.
Prize packages
Who is the ultimate Tim Burton fan and Halloween expert – and who will have the best costume of the night? We’ll announce the winners that evening! The lucky few will be rewarded with a fantastic prize package.
Afterparty in the Lumière Bar
After the film, we head to the Lumière Bar for a spooktacular afterparty with creepy cocktails and a fresh batch of the worst pies in Maastricht (also available without “meat”). Everyone is welcome—ticket or no ticket. Will we see you there?

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street
A dark musical tale of vengeance, where a barber’s razor delivers justice — with fatal consequences.
In Tim Burton’s gothic musical masterpiece, Benjamin Barker — now calling himself Sweeney Todd — returns to the fog-shrouded streets of 19th-century London after years of wrongful imprisonment. Consumed by a desire for revenge against the corrupt judge who destroyed his family, he reopens his barbershop on Fleet Street. With the help of his eccentric neighbour Mrs. Lovett, who bakes his unfortunate victims into meat pies, Todd unleashes a chilling vendetta in pursuit of justice.
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is a sinister and visually stunning musical that blends Burton’s darkly poetic style with Stephen Sondheim’s legendary score — a haunting story of love, loss, and retribution. Featuring brilliant performances by Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter.
The screening on Friday 31 October is a special Halloween showing. You’re invited to dress up and sing along to the musical numbers.
