House rules

Ticket sales & auditorium access

  • Once the official start time of a film has passed (as stated on our website), it is no longer possible to purchase tickets for that screening.
  • The auditoriums open no earlier than 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the film.
  • Please be punctual: once the film has started, the doors close automatically and access to the auditorium is no longer permitted.

Behaviour in the auditorium

  • To ensure an enjoyable experience for all guests, eating or talking (especially loudly) during the film is not allowed.
  • Please switch your mobile phone off completely or set it to silent, and refrain from using it during the screening.

Access & age restrictions

  • Lumière follows the national Kijkwijzer guidelines: According to Dutch law, children under the age of 16 are not permitted to attend films with an age rating of 16+ or 18+, even when accompanied by an adult.
  • For films with other age ratings, children below the indicated age may only attend when accompanied by an adult.
  • Children under the age of 8 must always be accompanied by an adult. Groups of children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
  • ID is required if requested by staff, so please make sure to bring valid identification with you.
