Eat More Trees
An inspiring documentary that explores how agroforestry and regenerative agriculture can provide a solution to soil degradation, biodiversity loss and climate change worldwide.

Every year, we lose 24 billion tonnes of fertile soil worldwide. That’s the equivalent of thirty football pitches every minute. If we continue to farm as we do today, we are pulling the rug out from under our food system. Eat More Trees shows how things can be done differently. We follow Dutch farmer Yanniek Schoonhoven, who, together with her husband, is transforming 1,100 hectares of degraded land in Murcia, southern Spain, into a thriving example of regenerative agriculture. Together with food forest expert and regenerative pioneer Louis De Jaeger, we travel from the Amazon rainforest to European farmlands. We see how trees and perennial crops make agriculture more resilient to drought and heat, while simultaneously restoring soils, strengthening ecosystems and producing healthier and more nutritious food.
