As an independent, non-profit foundation, we generate the majority of our income ourselves—as much as 80%. This gives us the freedom to curate distinctive, high-quality programming, but it also makes us vulnerable. The very films and programs that make a difference—bold arthouse, film classics, and education for young audiences—are under pressure.
