Lumière’s Grand Café is located on the first floor, where the old steam engines used to stand. The beautifully decorated, heritage-listed boiler house of the power station at the former Sphinx factory has been transformed into an atmospheric, industrial-style Grand Café. Our Grand Café is the perfect venue for large groups to enjoy a festive breakfast, lunch or dinner. Our Grand Café has 150 seats.

For groups of up to 15 people, you can dine à la carte; for larger groups, we’d be happy to suggest a set menu.

The bar area is an enclosed room on the ground floor with a view of ’t Bassin. The fun and informal atmosphere of this space makes it perfect for drinks parties. The bar area can accommodate 40 people sitting or 75 people standing. There is of course also a bar where drinks can be served.

Please note: this room cannot be rented on Fridays or Saturdays or from April to October.

There is an accessible toilet on the same floor.

During the Summer months, our waterside terrace is a wonderful place to relax. It’s also the ideal spot for hosting a festive dinner with friends and/or family.

Prefer a private terrace? Our balcony garden – a hidden gem – is located on the side of our Grand Café, on the first floor.

Unfortunately, our balcony terrace is not accessible for wheelchairs.
