New initiative: Donate and leave a legacy to culture in Limburg
How can we ensure that Limburg’s culture continues to flourish in the future? On Tuesday evening, the launch of My Cultural Legacy took place at the Maaspoort. This special initiative, created by 25 cultural institutions in Limburg, informs residents about the possibilities of supporting culture through donations and legacies.
The initiative responds to an important question: “How can we make sure that culture continues to thrive in the future and is passed on to new generations?” Limburg’s identity is central to this, as culture is deeply rooted in the DNA of our province. The official launch was carried out by Jasper Kuntzelaers and Lola Rose, child director of Maaspoort.
“A very good gathering in which the importance of passing on Art and Culture to future Limburg generations was highlighted and supported. It’s fantastic when people make a donation or include a cultural organisation in their will — not only for their own children but for other children as well.”
Frank Aalderinks and Mariëlla Pistone then delivered an inspiring session: The Art of Giving. Trends in Philanthropy and Cultural Engagement.
Initiator Philip van Ballegooie of PLT emphasised: “From Venlo to Vaals. With this platform, we say: anyone with a warm heart for Limburg can now contribute in a lasting way.”
With My Cultural Legacy, these institutions combine their strengths: one clear platform, one story, one shared goal. Together, they hope to inspire everyone to support culture so that art and culture in Limburg can continue to flourish for generations to come.
