New Exhibition at Lumière: Somewhere In Between
Lumière, in collaboration with Artichoque Art Gallery, offers a platform to local talent. Currently on display is Somewhere In Between by Maastricht-based artist Shirin Hejazi.
The exhibition Somewhere In Between by visual artist and architect Shirin Hejazi is currently on display in the foyer of Lumière. The exhibition is presented in collaboration with Artichoque Art Gallery.
Through sculptures, paintings and digital artworks, Hejazi explores the relationship between humans, animals, nature and identity. Her surreal characters and hybrid beings may appear playful and approachable at first glance, yet they also engage with themes such as climate change, social justice, human rights and animal rights.
The exhibition can be visited in the foyer of Lumière during regular opening hours.
