The Designer Is Dead
An intimate documentary about the visionary New York designer Miguel Adrover, who shook up the fashion world with his bold views on multiculturalism, sustainability and politics.

Once hailed as one of the most promising figures of his generation and endorsed by Anna Wintour, Adrover experienced a meteoric rise in the 00’s before abruptly withdrawing from the media spotlight. He settled in a village in Mallorca, entering a long chapter of isolation, introspection, and reinvention.
Using previously unseen footage, The Designer Is Dead presents an intimate portrait of a creator who challenged the fashion establishment and whose ideas continue to resonate today. Enriched by testimonies from his long-time collaborator Jennifer Hoffman and Pulitzer Prize-winning critic Robin Givhan, the documentary questions notions of identity and success, and reflects on what remains when fame fades but creative momentum endures.
