L’affaire Bojarski
A gripping crime thriller about the life of Jan Bojarski, the man known as the ‘Cézanne of counterfeiters’. The banknotes he forged caused the Banque de France a great deal of trouble in the 1950s and 1960s.

Jan Bojarski, a young Polish engineer, seeks refuge in France during the Second World War, where he uses his creative talent to produce forged documents for the Resistance. After the war, however, his newfound freedom brings him no stability. Without official residency status, Bojarski cannot apply for patents for his many inventions. He is forced to live on poorly paid work, but that changes when a gangster recognises his talent and suggests he forge banknotes. Thus, without his family’s knowledge, Bojarski embarks on a dangerous double life. Soon, his superb forgeries attract the attention of Inspector Mattei, whose obsession with capturing Bojarski turns into a thrilling game of cat and mouse.
