Far away from cameras, fame and his old life, Chris Masterman meets twelve-year-old Charlie, a determined indigenous girl with a big heart for animals. When they start caring for orphaned baby kangaroos together, an unlikely friendship develops. Thanks to their help, the so-called joeys are given a second chance and can return to Australia’s breathtaking wilderness. Their endeavour proves to be life-changing for them both.
Kangaroo is inspired by the life of Chris ‘Brolga’ Barns, founder of The Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs.
