How Deep Is Your Love
This documentary takes us to the mysterious depths of the ocean and raises a thought-provoking question: would it be better if we remained ignorant of certain things rather than endangering them with our knowledge?

How do we protect a world we barely know? The documentary How Deep Is Your Love follows a team of marine biologists on their quest to discover unknown life forms in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone, a vast area of the Pacific Ocean threatened by deep-sea mining. During their expedition, the researchers discover an astonishing array of colourful and bizarre organisms, from the Barbie Pig to the Psychedelic Elvis Worm. But behind this sense of wonder lies a pressing question: what happens when economic interests clash with vulnerable ecosystems? The documentary explores the paradox of scientific discovery at a time when pressure on natural resources is mounting. A visually stunning and topical film about biodiversity, climate, technology and the responsibility that comes with exploring the unknown. (Source: InScience Film Festival)
