Showgirls Lorelei Lee and Dorothy Shaw set off for Paris, where Lorelei is due to marry her wealthy fiancé, Gus Esmond. Convinced that Lorelei is only interested in his son’s fortune, Gus’s father hires a private detective to follow the two friends. As they travel from New York to Paris, romantic entanglements, mistaken identities and comic misunderstandings quickly pile up, making for a delightful musical adventure.
