A group of young dancers gathers in an isolated building to prepare for an upcoming tour. After days of rehearsals, they celebrate with an all-night party. As the effects of the drugged sangria slowly take hold, euphoria gives way to paranoia, fear and violence, transforming the gathering into an increasingly surreal nightmare.
Shot in fluid long takes by cinematographer Benoît Debie and driven by an infectious soundtrack of house, techno and electronic music, Climax is both a dazzling dance film and an intense cinematic experience. The film premiered in 2018 at the Cannes Film Festival, where it received the Art Cinema Award in the Directors’ Fortnight.
