Cinemini
Children aged 2 to 6 experience their first cinema visit at Taartrovers Cinemini! On Sunday mornings, we present a special programme where our youngest visitors discover the magic of film and can play in a beautiful light landscape.

An adventurous and educational journey of discovery
During Taartrovers Cinemini, we show beautiful, heart-warming, exciting, enchanting, story-driven and sometimes even challenging short films, specially selected for the very youngest children. After the films, the young adventurers can play together in an enchanting light landscape, made up of different installations that invite children to discover, in a playful way, how light can conjure up magical stories. A journey of discovery with shapes, projections, light and shadow, exploring the wonders of movement and colour.
Isn’t going to the cinema for the first time a little (too) exciting?
For many children, Taartrovers Cinemini is their first cinema experience, in a way that suits them perfectly: the films are shown with dimmed lighting, the sound is not too loud, the atmosphere is relaxed, the children are free to move around and respond to the films, and afterwards they can process their experience using all their senses.

About Taartrovers Cinemini
Taartrovers Cinemini is a project developed by Taartrovers and Eye Filmmuseum. The project has been running every Sunday morning at Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam for several years and has also been available at our venue since autumn 2023.
About Taartrovers
Taartrovers develops interactive cultural projects for and with children. They encourage young children to discover the power of imagination in a playful way. Children are invited to use all their senses to explore images, play with them and make them their own. Taartrovers develops educational materials and installations, but you can also encounter them in theatres with their own festival, at community centres with extracurricular activities, in museums, at schools or at symposiums. In this way, we bring culture for young children to all kinds of places throughout society.
